1997–98 Miami Heat season : ウィキペディア英語版 | 1997–98 Miami Heat season
The 1997-98 Miami Heat season is the tenth season of the Miami Heat in the National Basketball Association (NBA). Despite losing Alonzo Mourning for the first 22 games to offseason knee surgery, the Heat would continue to play solid basketball as backup center Isaac Austin played string coming off the bench. Mourning would eventually return as Austin was traded at midseason to the Los Angeles Clippers for Brent Barry, as the Heat feared they would lose him to free agency.〔http://www.sportsecyclopedia.com/nba/miami/heat.html〕 The Heat finished first in the Atlantic Division with a 55-27 record. In the playoffs, they would face five the #7 seed New York Knicks in a hard fought war in the first round. However, the table would be turned on the Heat as Mourning was suspended for Game 5 after fighting with Larry Johnson, a former teammate with the Charlotte Hornets now playing for the Knicks. Without Mourning, the Heat lost Game 5 at home 98-81. Tim Hardaway was the only member of the team to be selected for the 1998 NBA All-Star Game. ==Offseason==
